MONROE - Ten Monroe football players received Badger South All-Conference honors at a banquet Monday night.

Monroe junior Ryan Hughes was named first team all-conference at linebacker, and junior Charlie Kind was a unanimous first team all-conference selection at punter.

"It was nice for our kids to get recognized," Monroe coach Curt Miller said. "There were a lot of coaches in our conference that had a lot of respect for our guys."

In addition to Hughes and Kind, the Cheesemakers had three second team all-conference players including senior offensive lineman Alex Aurit, senior defensive lineman Trevor Gorr and senior defensive back Alex Barenklau.

Offensive honorable mention all-conference players included senior running back Trent Wyssbrod, Kind at wide receiver and tight end Noah Thompson. Defensive honorable mention all-conference players included senior Josh Farrey at linebacker and senior Kevin Klopfenstein at kicker.
