BELLEVILLE - Sugar River scored two first half goals en route to the Raiders' eighth win of the regular season, 3-1 against Platteville-Lancaster.
"Platteville-Lancaster came in with a difficult defensive formation that made us have to work to break down," Sugar River head coach Kyle Webber said.
Jaden Kreklow opened the scoring with a goal off of a pass from Brock Kelly in the 33rd minute. Sugar River made it 2-0 in the 45th minute when Kelly knocked in a pass from Jared Widish.
"A great combination play brought forth the first goal. The second goal came just before halftime, giving us great momentum going into the break," Webber said.
Platteville-Lancaster jumped out quickly in the second half when Michael Fields scored in the 47th minute. Kreklow's second goal of the game in the 70th minute, from a corner kick by Jack Gentilli, gave the Raiders a late insurance goal.
Tyler Boeck had four saves in net for Sugar River, and the Raiders offense collectively had 15 shots, eight of which on goal.
