MONROE - The Monroe Avalanche boys hockey co-op lost to Stoughton 14-0 Friday at SLICE.
"We played relatively well, but the main problem was that Stoughton was the first to the puck," Monroe coach Josh Smith said. "They won the small battles and it's hard to win a game if you can't win those."
Smith was impressed with the play of Isaac Halverson.
"Isaac Halverson has really stepped up lately and has played the best we as coaches have seen all year," Smith said.
With the loss, Monroe drops to 0-11, 0-4 Badger South). It's the fourth straight game the Avalanche have been shut out.
