The postseason accolades keep rolling in for Pecatonica senior Elise Sigg.
Sigg was named to the first team Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Association's All-State team.
In a historic 4,000-meter race at the WIAA Division 3 state meet, Sigg delivered, breaking a previous state record and finishing fourth in 14 minutes, 55 seconds.
Sigg, a University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee recruit, now has the fourth fastest time in the history of the Division 3 state meet.
Pecatonica-Argyle coach Pat Hardyman was impressed with Sigg's accomplishments in only two years running cross country.
"To have two state appearances and to win two state medals, that's an accomplishment," Hardyman said.
"She's definitely one of the fastest distance runners in the state. She goes out as the best distance runner I have ever coached."
Albany senior Jake Lincicum received honorable mention as an all-state selection.
Lincicum, a two-time all-state selection, finished third in the 5,000-meter state meet with a lifetime best time of 16:18.
"There were no guarantees he would come back and be in a position to get third," Albany coach Tony Brewer said.
"To get third with a high school career best at the state meet is pretty remarkable."
The all-state team was determined by times ran at the state meet Nov. 1 at the Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids.
