BRODHEAD - The Cardinals (13-2, 9-0 Rock Valley) dominated Jefferson (9-7, 6-5) from the start on Monday, winning 9-1.

Brodhead scored three runs in each of the first two innings, then added runs in the third, fourth and sixth for insurance.

Taylor Douglas and Shi Strommen each had two hits, Jana Covert had a double and Tia Collins added a triple for the Cardinals. Erika Stampfli locked the Eagles down on the mound, striking out 16 and allowing just two hits and three walks in seven innings.

Juda 5, Albany 0

ALBANY - Amber Ramos struck out 16 Comet hitters as the Panthers (10-2, 7-0 Six Rivers East) walked away with another conference win on Monday.

Katie Krupke gave up 10 hits and a walk on the mound for Albany, but until the seventh inning had kept the conference's top hitting team at bay.

"She pitched a great game, and she was sick," Albany coach Connie Wunschel said. "I think towards the end she was getting a little gassed. But other than that, she was phenomenal."

Juda scored three runs in the top of the seventh.

Katlyn DeVoe, Alycia Grenzow, Lauren Dunwiddie and Ramos each had two-hit games for the Panthers.

ARGYLE - Jessica Treuthardt picked up the win on the mound for the Orioles, allowing just three hits in the five inning first game.

Argyle scored four runs in the first, one in the second, two n the third and three in the fourth.

Danielle Treuthardt, Kayla Ostby and Jodi Fischer were all 2 for 3 for the Orioles. Danielle Treuthardt had two doubles and Fischer had a triple.

In the second game, Jessica Treuthardt again got the victory, allowing just two hits, a walk and an unearned run while striking out five in six innings.

Argyle led 8-1 after five innings, but a 3-run sixth opened the door for the 10-run mercy rule.

Danielle Treuthardt was 3 for 5, Kim Pink went 3 for 4 and Katie Dammen, Ostby and Fischer all collected two hits. Ostby had two doubles and Danielle Treuthardt had a triple.

Riverdale 17, Darlington 3

RIVERDALE - A 12-run fourth inning kept the Redbirds from its first win of the season.

After scoring three runs in the top of the fourth to make it 5-3, the wheels fell off for Darlington.
