MONROE - The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department is hosting Soccer with the Cheesemakers for area youth players May 7 through the Monroe Parks and Recreation Department.
Players on the Monroe girls soccer team will be there to work on various soccer skills and drills with boys and girls from kindergarten through eighth grade. From 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. after the early release May 7, children will work with Cheesemaker soccer players at the Monroe High School football field. Each participant will receive a Campion's Champion T-shirt sponsored by Monroe Lions Club.
The event is open and registration is required. The cost for this program is $10. Sign up online at cityofmonroe.org or at the Monroe Parks and Recreation's temporary office at 1064 5th Avenue across the street from the PDC building.
