Six Rivers baseball honors announced

ARGYLE - The Argyle baseball team had three players named first-team Six Rivers East All-Conference recently.

Argyle's Alec Treuthardt was named all-conference at pitcher and sophomore teammates Kyle Olson and Brock Bruehlman were named all-conference first-team as utility players. Argyle coach Chuck Bredeson was named the conference's coach of the year. Barneveld junior Carson Carmody was named the conference player of the year for the second straight season.

Pecatonica sophomore infielder Drew Schliem and senior infielder Jake Scoville were also named first-team all-conference. Pecatonica freshman Brooks Chandler was named all-conference as a utility player. Albany junior Mitchell Kauk was named all-conference as an outfielder and junior teammate Ethan Pfeuti was all-conference as a utility player. Monticello junior Lucas Marty was also named all-conference as a utility player.

Black Hawk had five players named honorable mention all-conference including senior pitcher Merik Meythaler, senior infielder Mike Powers, senior infielder Cory Rupnow, sophomore utility player Tayler Rupnow and senior infielder Coltin Piefer. The other honorable mention all-conference players include Argyle sophomore pitcher Colton Ploessl, Pecatonica senior infielder Geoff Daley, Pecatonica junior outfielder Tyler Hodgson and Monticello senior outfielder Bryce Klitzke.



SWAL

DARLINGTON - The Darlington baseball team had four players get Southwest Wisconsin Activities all-league recently.

Darlington sophomore Jason Singer and junior Cody Hardyman were named first team all-league.

Darlington sophomore Cole McDonald and senior Griffin Heinberg received honorable mention all-league. Darlington finished the season 7-11 and fifth-place in the SWAL at 6-8 in Matt Austin's first season as head coach.

The Redbirds' season came to an end with a 6-0 loss to Parkview in the Division 3 regional.
