JUDA - Senior Aleigha Sigafus poured in 20 points to launch the Black Hawk High School girls basketball team past Juda 45-26 Tuesday night.
Sigafus had seven points in the first half when Black Hawk build a 21-11 lead, and then scored 13 in the second half during the Warriors' 24-15 run.
Sophomore Hannah Herbst added 10 points for Black Hawk.
Sara Jordan led Juda (11-9, 5-4 Six River East) with nine points. Juda made three field goals in the first half and four in the second half and was 9 of 10 from the foul line.
Albany 39, Argyle 34
ARGYLE - The Comets made just enough free throws and key plays down the stretch to pull out a win over Argyle.
"It was a grind-it out-win," Albany coach Adam Wamsley said. "Shots were not falling for us. We were able to get stops when we had to."
Argyle junior Kayla Butler-Paulson scored a game-high 18 points to pace the Orioles.
Albany freshman Libby Beck scored a team-high nine points. Seniors Marley Malkow and Sydnee Woyak each added eight points.
The Comets (5-15, 4-5 Six Rivers East) made 17 of 33 free throws.
"We hit some free throws that allowed us to extend the lead," Wamsley said.
Brodhead 63,
Beloit Turner 50
BRODHEAD - Senior Kylie Moe, a University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh recruit, scored a game-high 28 points to lead Brodhead past Turner.
Moe went 20 of 22 from the free-throw line. Brodhead (16-3, 12-2 Rock Valley South) made 39 of 49 free throws.
Brodhead sophomore Erin Nyhus added 20 points and was 10 of 15 at the line. Brodhead senior Amber Pickel chipped in 10 points.
Brodhead made 10 fields goals in the game, including four 3s. Turner hit 18 field goals.
Barneveld 74, Pecatonica 27
BARNEVELD - Hannah Whitish, a University of Nebraska recruit, scored a game-high 23 points to help Barneveld cruise to a big win.
Barneveld (19-0, 8-0 Six Rivers East), ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press Division 5 state poll, has won 47 straight conference games. The Eagles outscored the Vikings 54-18 in the first half. Barneveld's Mia Whitish added 20 points.
Pecatonica junior Liz Tisch scored a team-high 14 points.
In another game, Darlington defeated Iowa-Grant 61-53.
