EVANSVILLE - With the weather threatening to cut their game short, the Monroe baseball team answered with a complete showing of offensive and defensive play in their 10-3 victory over host Evansville. Sean Saxby set the scoring pace for the Cheesemakers, as the junior rallied with two RBI singles in the first two innings, putting his team up 4-0. The Blue Devils crept back with three runs in the bottom of the third, but early in the fifth, Monroe recaptured the momentum thanks to a clutch hit by Carter Adkins.
