Rock County Fury win third straight

BELOIT - Maggy Henschler scored two goals to propel the Rock County Fury girls hockey team to a 3-0 win over the Badger Thunder on Thursday.

The Rock County Fury, which includes Monroe sophomore Ally Einbeck and freshman Cammi Ganshert, have won three straight games. The Fury outshot the Badger Thunder 43-9.

"That is what we wanted to do to build momentum for the playoffs," Rock County Fury coach Dave Soddy said. "All four lines had opportunities to score. We put a lot of pressure on them."

The Rock County Fury (13-10, 7-3 Badger Conference) will play the Badger Thunder in a regional game at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Beloit. Before then, the Fury will host Lakeshore on Saturday in Beloit.

The Fury got off to a strong star with Dani Heitsman scoring a goal on assists from Bailey Cronin and Ally Burke. Henschler scored a goal at 14 minutes, 58 seconds in the second period on passes from Kayla Kaufman and Heitsman to give the Fury a 2-0 lead.

Henschler scored her second goal on Burke's second assist in the third period.

Fury goalie Molly Gross had nine saves. Ganshert has scored three goals and has four assists this season. Einbeck has two assists on the season.
