DARLINGTON - Junior Trevor Johnson scored 22 points to lead the Darlington High School boys basketball team to a 76-60 win over Cambridge in a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal Friday.

Darlington (18-5) will play in a regional championship game at Deerfield tonight.

The Redbirds outscored the Blue Jays 36-18 in the first half.

J.T. Parish scored a game-high 33 points for the Blue Jays.



Cuba City 68, New Glarus 45

CUBA CITY - Senior Ben Burkholder scored a game-high 22 points to help Cuba City roll over New Glarus.

New Glarus (15-9) trailed by eight points at the half and was outscored 41-26 in the second half.

New Glarus senior Austin Schlueter scored a team-high 16 points. Senior teammate Trey Taylor added 11 points.



Southwestern 63, Pecatonica 56

BLANCHARDVILLE - Junior A.J. Hendrickson scored 13 of his team-high 19 points in the second half but Pecatonica wasn't able to catch Southwestern and lost in the WIAA Division 5 regional semifinal game.

The Vikings, who trailed 37-29 at halftime, cut the deficit to four late in the second half, but the Wildcats salted away the win at the free-throw line.

Brothers Kyle and Kurt Tranel paced the Wildcats with 21 and 12 points, respectively. Ezra Vassen added 16.

Senior Brooks Chandler scored 15 points, including three of the Vikings' six 3-pointers. Freshman Colten Schraepfer added 12 points, including two 3s, for Pecatonica (18-6).



Abundant Life/St. Ambrose 84, Albany 68

MADISON - Spencer Wright exploded to score a game-high 32 points to help Madison Abundant Life/St. Ambrose cruise past Albany in a Division 5 regional semifinal.

Albany (14-10) led by three points at the half and five midway through the second half. The Challengers closed the game on a 29-8 run.
