Redbirds fall to Lancaster

LANCASTER - The Lancaster Flying Arrows defeated Darlington-Cuba City 189-201 in girls high school golf on the front nine, par 38 at the Lancaster Country Club on Thursday. Darlington junior Nellie Black was medalist with a 44 while Cuba City senior Ali McCauley shot a 47. Shelby Poss shot a 50, Naomi Black fired a 60, and Erica McComish carded a 62 for Darlington-Cuba City.

"Our score of 201 is the best team score at Lancaster in the five years I have been coaching. Lancaster played well," said Darlington-Cuba City head coach Gary Ringen. Darlington-Cuba City is now 15-9 and will travel to Prairie du Chien on Monday.

Lancaster also topped Darlington-Cuba City in junior varsity action 227-296. Kaitlyn Wall was medalist for Darlington-Cuba City with a 64.
