BLANCHARDVILLE — Woodford State Bank is proud to support local community initiatives and is excited to contribute $2,500 to the Jim Strommen Field Scoreboard Improvement Project at McKellar Park. This donation will help enhance the baseball experience for players and fans alike, ensuring the continued success of local teams, including Pecatonica High School and the Blanchardville Bullets Home Talent Baseball.
The improvements to Jim Strommen Field have been made possible through generous donations and dedicated volunteer efforts, making it a true community-driven project. The scoreboard upgrade will include essential features including inning-by-inning scoring and pitch count tracking. The WIAA requires these features for player safety and game management.
“We are thrilled to support a project that directly benefits our local athletes and strengthens the sense of community here in Blanchardville,” said Debra Severson of Woodford State Bank. “Jim Strommen Field has been a cornerstone for youth and high school baseball, and we’re proud to play a role in its continued growth.”
To support the Jim Strommen Field Scoreboard Improvement Project, donations can be made payable to Jim Strommen Field and sent to 7598 Gant Road, Blanchardville, WI 53516.
