MONROE — Monroe Parks and Recreation held a four-day tennis camp taught by high school tennis coach Matt Bordner in late June.
The camp worked on basic fundamentals and improving abilities in double and single matches. The annual event is offered to high school students or students just entering high school.
Bordner said the camp is a great launch for new players and a nice refresher for returning players.
This year, because of COVID-19, the athletes were asked to bring their own rackets and the tennis balls were numbered.
