TOWN OF JEFFERSON — On July 22, 15-year-old Bryson Powell became the youngest golfer yet to record a hole-in-one at Windy Acres Golf Course on County Road K, south of Monroe.

Powell’s ace came on the Par 3 fifth hole. At a distance of 216 yards, Powell used a 3-wood. He was witnessed by father Bob Powell, Levi and Corey Foster, and Denny Schulz.

The Par 3 fifth hole is the No. 1 men’s handicap hole. The hole features a water hazard and an uphill approach to the green.

Powell’s ace broke the previous mark of 16-years-old by Kevin Schmidt, who notched his hole-in-one on Sept. 9, 2017 on the 141-yard Par 3 third hole.
