MONROE — The Green County Fall Nationals held Saturday, Sept. 22 was a “banner year” according to organizers.

The group reached an all-time high in apparel sales, band revenue, gate revenue and more. Final tallies aren’t in, but they also had the highest number of tractors in more than a decade and reported 134 runs down the track.

“It was just amazing,” Jo Hawthorn, Green County Fall Nationals said. “It was just stellar.”

The group considered canceling the event up until Friday night because of the wet field, but Hawthorn said everything worked out perfectly.
