WHITEWATER — Brodhead graduate Abbie Dix was named the Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week for Oct. 7-13. She had been previously nominated multiple times in the last two seasons.

Dix helped UW-Whitewater to a 3-0 sweep of No. 21-ranked North Park University (Ill.) on Oct. 12. She entered the UW-Whitewater record book with 11 blocks in the match — a mark that is tied for second-most in program history — including a pair of solos and nine assisted. Dix is now ranked third nationally, averaging 1.36 blocks per set. For the week, Dix posted 3.67 blocks and 1.00 kills per set.

Others nominated included Kaitlyn Erickson (UW-Eau Claire), Abby Fregien (UW-Oshkosh), Audrey Peterson (UW-River Falls), Carly Thomka (UW-Stevens Point) and Terrah Moshier (UW-Stout).
