Badgers headed to the Guaranteed Rate Bowl

MADISON — The NCAA announced today that the Wisconsin Badgers will travel to Phoenix, to play the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl Game, on December 27. The Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) invites fans to join the Official Badger Bowl Tour.

Travel packages include hotel accommodations, welcome reception, motor coach transfers, and the BADGER HUDDLE tailgate: the only pregame party that boasts appearances by Bucky Badger, the UW Spirit Squad, the UW Marching Band, and other special guests, along with food, beverages, and entertainment. “Congratulations to the Badgers for making UW’s 21st straight bowl-game appearance,” said Sarah Schutt, chief alumni officer and executive director of the Wisconsin Alumni Association. “The Official Badger Bowl Tour is a great way for fans to enjoy the final game of the season and share Badger pride and spirit. We hope many fans will come out and support the team.”

Donors to UW athletics and football season-ticket holders should request bowl tickets through the UW Department of Athletics by noon on Monday, December 5. Tickets will be made available to the public starting on Tuesday, December 6 at noon. For more information, visit uwbowlcentral.com.

Minnesota beat West Virginia in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl in 2021. The bowl has been played under several names including the Copper Bowl and the Insight Bowl. Wisconsin won the Copper Bowl, beating Utah in 1996.
