RIPON — Clay Ritschard, an Argyle graduate and member of the Ripon football program, was named an All-Midwest Conference performer, as announced by the league Nov. 22.
Ritschard was honored as a first-team linebacker — the first of his career postseason. In his final season as a Red Hawk, Ritschard put together one of the finest seasons any Ripon defender has ever had. He led the Midwest Conference with 108 total tackles, good for 13th in all of Division III. He was also 13th in the country with 10.8 tackles per game. A two-time team captain, Ritschard is now tied for fifth in program history in single-season tackles. His 276 career tackles are also fifth-most in school history. Additionally, he racked up 4.5 tackles for loss, one sack and a fumble recovery in 2024. Ritschard had double-digit tackle totals in seven of Ripon’s 10 games this season.
