Monroe Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting their 50th Monroe City Tennis Tournament at Recreation Park on Saturday, June 19 & Sunday, June 20.

There will be the following divisions: Men’s Open Singles, Women’s Open Singles, Men’s Open Doubles & Women’s Open Doubles.  Players can enter both the singles & doubles or just one.  

The tournament will alternate between women’s and men’s matches to give rest times. First round of women’s at 8 a.m. Saturday. First round of men’s at 9 a.m. Saturday. 

Players should anticipate matches on both Saturday and Sunday. All matches played 2 out of 3 sets, with ad scoring, and with a third set match tiebreak instead of full third set. 

The deadline to register is noon on Friday, June 18 and players will be informed of match time in the afternoon, June 18. Entry fee is $15/person for one and $25/person for both divisions. Call Matt Bordner at 815-990-6547 to register.
