Rapids rush past MAST

MONROE - The Sugar River Rapids outlasted the Monroe Area Swim Team (MAST) Tuesday night at Recreation Park, 639-515.

Monroe's Molly Swenson won three girl's 8-and-younger 25-meter backstroke, 25-meter breaststroke and 25-meter butterfly.

Grace Keith, Monroe, won the girl's 9- to 10-year-old 100-meter freestyle, 50-meter backstroke and 50-meter butterfly. Both Swenson and Grace were a part of Monroe's girl's 10-and-younger 200-meter freestyle relay championship team which also included Samantha Ellefson and Savannah Grenoble.

Sugar River had a slew of winners as well. Molly Molencamp won the girl's 8-and-younger 25-meter freestyle, Francesca Schiro took first in the 8-and-younger 50-meter freestyle and Willow Lee won the 9- to 10-year-old girl's 50-meter freestyle. The Rapids also won the girl's 10-and-younger 200 medley relay title.

Rapids' Bridget Craker won the girl's 11- to 12-year-old 50-meter freestyle, 50-meter backstroke and 50-meter breaststroke. Teammate Anna Wolf won the girl's 11- to 12-year-old 100-meter freestyle.

Monroe's Allie Coplien took top honors in the girl's 13- to 14-year-old 50-meter freestyle.

On the boys side, Sugar River's Connor Siegenthaler won the 8-and-youner 25-meter freestyle and 25-meter breaststroke.

Monroe's Christopher Andraski took the top spot in the 8-and-younger 25-meter backstroke.

Rapids' Christopher George won the 9- to 10-year-old 50-meter freestyle and 50-meter backstroke.
