Ramos baffles Monroe

MONROE - Juda's Amber Ramos allowed just three infield singles while striking out 16 batters in a 6-0 win over Monroe Optimist's No. 1 Sunday in a Monroe Area Fastpitch League game at Twining Park.

Ramos had two hits at the plate and scored three times for Juda. Kelli Dahlk and Kasey Gutzmer collected Monroe's only hits.

Orangeville notched two wins in Red League action, defeating Juda 11-3, and Brodhead 13-3.

Monroe's Optimist's No. 2 squad dropped a pair of games Monday. In its first game, Monroe fell to Monticello 2-0 before losing to Juda 9-8.
