OSHKOSH - Sugar River's John Chenoweth at 138 pounds went 3-2 in his matches wrestling at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational on Friday.
Sugar River took 54th out of 66 teams with 44 points. Coleman captured the team title 333-267.5 over second-place Lomira.
Chenoweth (12-4) won his first match by forfeit. He then clipped Waterford's Anthony Christenson 4-2. Valders' Luke Oltmanns pinned Chenoweth in 3:46. Chenoweth rebounded to beat Wilmot Union's Kyeler Moudy 6-0. Andrew High School's Rocco Iannantone then pinned him in 2:49.
Five other Sugar River wrestlers finished 2-2 in the invite, including Lucas Fink (113), Robert Chenoweth (120), Max Gerner (132), Tanner Jelle (195) and Daniel Enloe (heavyweight). Enloe posted two pins in his wins.
