BELLEVILLE - The Sugar River girls soccer team shut out Wisconsin Heights 3-0 Tuesday, May 14.
The game was delayed 45 minutes in the first half due to lightning and called at the 44 minute mark. With the win, Sugar River improves to 10-3, 6-1 Capitol South.
Sugar River's Nicole Sanders scored the first goal on assists from Hailey Hehn and Sierra Watrud at 2 minutes, 28 seconds. Brooke Larson scored a goal at 23:30 on an assist from Watrud to give the Raiders a 2-0 lead.
Karly Anderson scored the final goal for the Raiders at 35:29. Sugar River goalkeeper Baily Hubbard had one save.
The Raiders trail Lodi by one game for the conference title.
