BELLEVILLE — In 2023, Sugar River’s 1-1 draw with Lakeside Lutheran was the only game in the way of a perfect conference season. This year, the No. 10 Raiders trounced the Warriors 8-0 in a 60-minute game on Tuesday, April 9.

Anya Brenkman, who at her current pace would score 76 goals in the regular season, opened the game with a goal at 16:26, assisted by Holly Maynard. A Warrior turnover at midfield led to another Anya Brenkman goal just 15 seconds later.

Jenna Gentilli connected with Bella Brenkman on a corner kick, and less than two minutes later Bella Brenkman scored on a penalty kick.

Anya Brenkman completed her hat trick with an assist from Hannah Boldebuck and added on in the final two minutes with another goal, assisted by Lily Maynard.

In the second half, Zoey Lovejoy and Brooke Warrell scored within a minute of each other. The game was called at the 60-minute mark with Sugar River winning 8-0.

Addison Lutz and Alice Neton combined for the shutout, where Lutz made two saves.

LODI 6, MONROE 0
