MONONA - Sugar River senior Dylan Hustad scored three goals for a hat trick to power the Raiders to a 6-1 nonconference win over Monona Grove on Thursday.

Sugar River (10-3-1, 4-0-1 Capitol Conference) remains in the driver's seat to win the conference title.

Sugar River senior Mike Jennrich scored a goal on an assist from Andrew DeLorme 2 minutes into the game to give the Raiders an early lead.

Hustad scored an unassisted goal at 5:50 and scored his second goal on a pass from DeLorme at 15:25 to give the Raiders a 3-0 lead at the half.

Sugar River senior Nehemiah Noriega scored a goal on an assist from Lukas Diaz at 56:04. Hustad scored his third goal on an assist from senior Kevin Zimmerman at 60:18 to give the Raiders an insurmountable 5-0 lead.

Zimmerman scored the final goal for the Raiders in the 68th minute.

Sugar River is tied with Lakeside Lutheran for the conference lead with four conference games left. Sugar River hosts Lake Mills (8-3-3) Tuesday and still has a showdown with Wisconsin Heights (12-2-1) on Oct. 13.
