LAKE MILLS - Junior Katie Viney scored three goals and junior Hannah Kernan scored a goal and added two assists to lead the Sugar River Raiders to an 8-1 win over Lakeside Lutheran in Capitol South Conference girls soccer Thursday night.
Viney scored an unassisted goal at 5 minutes, 44 seconds for a 1-0 lead, then Kernan assisted on Viney's second goal just 23 seconds later to give the Raiders all the scoring they needed. Rachel Skolaski, Natalie Manion, Laura Durst and Trisha Boley also scored goals for the Raiders. Manion, Shelby Hubbard and Kaitlin Jennrich combined for four saves.
Sugar River will compete in the La Crosse Aquinas Invitational Saturday and Sunday.
