Raiders clinch share of Capitol soccer crown

BELLEVILLE - Sophomore Jon Fox scored two goals to propel the Sugar River boys soccer team to a 2-0 win Tuesday over Lodi.

With the win, Belleville-New Glarus clinched a share of the Capitol Conference title with Columbus.

Fox scored his first goal on an assist by Erik Ellenberger just 2 minutes, 20 seconds into the game. He added his second goal on another assist by Ellenberger in the 55th minute.

Sugar River junior goalkeeper Eric Liegel had a game-high nine saves.
