Quade tied for 22nd after first round at WSGA Championships

FOND DU LAC - Monroe alum Brent Quade shot a 2-over 74 in the first round Monday of the Wisconsin State Golf Association's Match Play Championship.

Quade along with Brodhead's Michael Ollerich were in an eight-way tie for 22nd place after the first round at Whispering Springs Golf Club.

Eight golfers shot under par in the first round with Middleton's Miles McConnell atop the leader board with a 3-under 69. Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was at 1-under 71. Results from the second round Tuesday were not available.
