KENOSHA - Monroe's Brent Quade shot a 2-over-74 in the final round of the State Amateur Championship on Thursday and finished tied for 16th place.
Quade, who just graduated from Edgewood College, finished the tournament at 8-over-296 and tied Jay Halverson of the Viroqua Golf Club for 16th at the 111th annual State Am at Strawberry Creek.
In the final round, Quade birdied the 147-yard No. 4, the 300-yard No. 6. He shot an even par 36 on the front nine, but had two bogeys on the back nine to finish 2-over in his final round.
Quade's best round at the tournament came on Wednesday when he shot a 1-under-71. He birdied six holes in the third round.
Quade helped Edgewood win the conference earlier this spring and advance to the national tournament.
