Boys Basketball (12-0, 7-0 Badger South): Not that it should come as any surprise, everyone and their brother is trying to slow down the Cheesemakers. Monroe plowed through plodding tempo in back-to-back games to earn victories of 39-26 and 60-22 over Madison Edgewood and Brodhead, respectively.
Girls Basketball (9-2, 6-1 Badger South): Not to be outdone by their male counterparts, the girls squad also won a pair of contests in the past week with a 49-32 Badger South victory over Madison Edgewood Friday and a 45-27 road win over Platteville Tuesday.
Wrestling: The Cheesemakers got a baptism by fire Tuesday night in a 64-4 loss at home to prep wrestling juggernaut Mineral Point. Junior Gavin Wels seized the lone Cheesemaker points with a major decision in the 103-pound match.

The good news for Juda: In kicking off a three-game stretch against Six Rivers East frontrunners, the Panthers knocked off Barneveld, 67-63 behind a 27-point effort from junior Beau Benner.
Redbirds' flight canceled: After using a 10-0 second-quarter run to build a 22-12 lead, Darlington surrendered a 31-8 run to Fennimore in a 64-52 loss Tuesday night.
Sugar River sweep: The Glarner Knights boys followed up their female counterpart's victory over local rival Belleville with a 48-35 win over the Wildcats Thursday.
The Barneveld bump: Pecatonica has lost two games to Barneveld by a combined four points after a 51-50 loss on the road Tuesday night.
GIRLS
Popping the clutch: Dani Pickett's in the midst of a heck of a shooting groove, never more evident than when she buried the game-winning triple just beyond the top of the key to help New Glarus upend Division 4 standout Black Hawk at home Monday night in a non-conference tilt.
Ruchti rockslide: Brodhead enjoyed a 19-point contribution from junior Kristen Ruchti in Tuesday night's 53-33 victory over Edgerton at home Tuesday night.

Pinfall frenzy: The Cardinals of Brodhead-Juda won all their matches either via pinfall or forfeiture during Tuesday's 42-33 Rock Valley victory over Edgerton on the road.
