ATLANTA - The Wisconsin Hoops Select 16U girls basketball Team finished fourth at the recently completed "16U Tournament of Champions" July 10-12 in Atlanta.
Seventy two select teams from across the country competed in the event. The Wisconsin Power finished with a 3-2 record.
The Power advanced to the final four of bracket play with wins over Cincinati Elite, 50-41; Washington DC Heat, 64-52; and All Iowa Attack, 34-32 in overtime.
The Power were defeated by New Jersey Borro Blitz 55-50 in the semifinals and then lost to the Georgia Hotshots 55-46 in the third-place game on Saturday.
Team members include: Emily Decorah, Waunakee; Kristin Ruchti, Brodhead; Gwen Sutter, Monroe; Kayla Crowley, Oregon; Emily Rufenacht, Monroe; Dana Lewis, Brodhead; Kelsey Budd, Sauk Prairie; Kimee Chandler, Pecatonica; and Ashley Hermanson, Monroe.
