MONTICELLO - The Monticello High School volleyball team used the motivation of Senior Night on Thursday to sweep Pecatonica.

Monticello (4-4 Six Rivers East) snapped a four-match losing streak in the conference.

"We had a little extra incentive because it was Senior Night," Monticello coach Scott Smice said. "I knew the emotions were running high. Because it was Senior Night, I don't think they were going to be denied. I knew there would be some different emotion out there and it turned out to be a positive. Hopefully, we have turned a corner now."
