PLATTEVILLE - The Mineral Point boys golf team edged Argyle-Pecatonica for the Southwest Wisconsin Activities League championship by three strokes, 164-167 Tuesday at the Platteville Country Club.
Both Argyle-Pecatonica's Mitch Steiner and Matt Severson shot a 2-over-38 to make the all-conference team. Mason Holcomb carded a 44 and Dylan Stietz finished with a 47.
Mineral Point was led by Taylor Ryman, who shot a 37 to earn medalist honors. Darlington finished last in the eight-team conference meet.
The Redbirds were led by Ryan Glendenning who shot a team-best 47. Teammate Brogen Evenstad carded a 48 and Kevin Fenner finished with a 52. Seth Johnson rounded out the top four for the Redbirds shooting a 54.
