DARLINGTON - The Platteville girls basketball team defeated Darlington 65-58 Tuesday in a non-conference game that featured 51 fouls, 63 free throws and 46 points in the fourth quarter.
Senior Amy Jorgenson led the Redbirds with 19 points. Junior Cassidy Chambers scored 16 and junior Claire Scott added 16 points and 18 rebounds for Darlington.
"Defensively, if you give up 65 points, it's going to be tough to win," Darlington coach Mike Chambers said.
Plattevile went 17 of 27 at the line in the fourth quarter and 21 of 37 for the game. The Redbirds (8-6) were 13 of 26 at the line.
