Pecatonica sweeps Albany in DH

BLANCHARDVILLE - Pecatonica swept Albany in the regular season finale doubleheader Monday.

The Vikings beat the Comets 10-1 in game one, and won the second game 12-2.

Kaci Cassidy pitched seven innings in the first game, allowing just one run on four hits while striking out seven. Cassidy pitched three innings in the second game, striking out one.

Katie Krupke took the loss on the hill in the first game for Albany, allowing 12 hits and seven earned runs. The Comets used Carlie Peters, Clare Koopmans and Kaitlyn Schulz on the mound in the second game.
