BELLEVILLE - Pecatonica, the No. 1-ranked baseball team in the state in Division 4 by the WBCA, dominated Belleville, 10-4, on Thursday.

Sophomore Kevin Swenson went the distance, striking out six hitters and allowing four runs on nine hits.

"We needed him to give us some innings tonight and he gave us a complete game," Vikings coach Jim Strommen said.

Tannar Johnson (3-for-4) and Devin Jeglum (2-3) each homered and Chris Hendrickson and Taylor Berg each collected two hits and a double for the Vikings (11-1).

"We had it all tonight - pitching, defense, and hitting. If you can get all three, you will likely win the game," Strommen said.

CUBA CITY - The Cubans tied the score at 4-4 in the bottom of the seventh and rallied again in the eighth to topple the Redbirds.

Brett Hardyman had three hits, and both Taylor Wiegel and Tyler Hardyman had a pair of hits for Darlington.
