Pec falls at own tourney

BLANCHARDVILLE - Pecatonica fell to River Ridge 67-36 at the annual Pecatonica Holiday Tournament on Tuesday.

Four Vikings fouled out of the game and the Vikings committed 27 fouls in the contest, sending River Ridge to the line 40 times. River Ridge scored 22 points from the charity stripe, while Pecatonica was just 3 of 9 from the line.

Alisha Esselstein scored 17 points to lead the Vikings. Ellie Gifford scored eight points and eight rebounds and Emma Marion had three steals. Gifford, Marion, Lizzy Britt and Ashley Johnsen fouled out.

Pecatonica will play Mineral Point today at 6 p.m. in the consolation game. Mineral Point lost to Weston 50-43. Weston and River Ridge will play at 7:30 p.m.
