MONROE - Five league champions were recently announced by the Monroe Parks and Recreation Department.
We're Back Again won the High School/College Coed 4x4 Upper League championship finishing 23-4. The team members include Brianna Zimmerman, Rachel Ellingson, Brett Stangel, Brett DeNure and Tad Christen.
The Hefty Hitters won the High School/College Coed 4x4 Lower League title with a record of 24-3. The Hefty Hitters team includes Nic Wilhite, Chelsea Rimington, Heather Rimington, Steven Yoho and Ashley Switzer.
Hasse Surveying won the Women's 6x6 Upper League with a record of 25-7. The Hasse Surveying team includes Kris Hasse, Amy Kundert, Diedre Kundert, Tammy Hartwig, Suzy Shaw, Kara Burkhalter, Julie Allen, Amy Bartlet, Carmen Campbell and Jennifer Prien.
Flan's Having Fun captured the championship in the Women's 6x6 Lower League with a record of 17-15. The Flan's Having Fun team includes Mary Berger, Christine Statler, Mary Grinnell, Becky Lehman, Monica Crook and Carol Wyss.
Smokey's Parks & Pools won the Coed Slowpitch League finishing 9-1. The Smokey's Parks & Pools team includes Sydnee Wyss, Emily Rufenacht, Laura Jacobson, Kyle Kaiser, Liz Knuteson, Danielle Moser, Brett Stangel, Kyle Klopfenstein, Shawn Hart, Chase Sellnow, Mitch Tordoff and Bryan Tordoff.
