Panthers roll past Pecatonica

JUDA - The one-two punch of Ellen Kiser and C.J. Dunwiddie powered the Juda girls basketball team to a

63-24 win against Pecatonica on Friday.

Kiser scored 20 points and Dunwiddie had 19 points. Juda (12-4, 5-2 Six Rivers East) outscored the Vikings 18-4 in the second quarter and led by 24 points at halftime.

"We practiced hard this week and they responded," Juda coach Curt Brown said.

Brodhead 62, Edgerton 43

EDGERTON - The Cardinals are closing in on a Rock Valley South Conference title after cruising past Rock Valley North rival Edgerton.

Sophomore Carly Mohns scored 19 points to lead the Cardinals (13-2, 9-1 Rock Valley South). Junior Taylor Douglas had 13 and junior Amanda Pickel 10.

Barneveld 52, Albany 37

BARNEVELD - The state's fifth-ranked Division 5 team rolled past Albany.

Barneveld (14-1, 7-0 Six Rivers East) outscored the Comets 16-7 in the first quarter and led by 16 points at halftime.

The Eagles' Madison Laube scored a game-high 19 points.

Juniors Cassidy Bump and Kirstie Kauk each scored 10 points for the Comets (2-13, 0-8).

Darlington 58,

Iowa-Grant 31

LIVINGSTON - Senior Brandon Hardyman scored 17 points as Darlington won its fifth in a row.

Darlington (11-5, 7-3 SWAL) opened a 16-8 first-quarter lead and led by 12 at halftime. The Redbirds put the game away by outscoring the Panthers 16-3 in the third quarter.

Darlington seniors Cedric Flesher and Mitchell Whalen added 13 and 11 points, respectively.
