Orioles bash Warriors

ARGYLE - Cam Treuthardt went 3-for-4 to lead Argyle to a 14-0 five-inning win over Black Hawk Monday.

Black Hawk was plagued by seven errors. The game was moved to Argyle due to rain.

The Orioles had four players with at least two hits. Argyle sophomore Collin Argue went 2-for-3, while senior Colton Ploessl and junior Riley Ostby were each 2-for-4.

Argyle (3-1, 3-0 Six Rivers East) jumped on the Warriors with a four-run first inning. The Orioles put the game away with a six-run fourth. Argyle senior Kyle Olson pitched four innings to get the win. He and Ostby combined on a three-hit shutout. Olson struck out nine and didn't issue a walk.

Black Hawk sophomore Reesan Ruch pitched 3 1/3 innings and gave up six earned runs on 10 hits. He struck out one and walked three.

The Pecatonica baseball team's game at Albany was postponed. It has been rescheduled for May 11. The Monticello game at Barneveld was postponed. Monticello Athletic Director Duane Garrison said the game will be rescheduled today.
