ARGYLE - Junior Collin Argue kept the top-ranked Pecatonica High School baseball team that had been averaging 12.4 runs at bay for six innings Tuesday.

That's until Pecatonica junior Logan Green's RBI in the seventh inning gave the Vikings a 1-0 win over the Orioles.

Argue tossed a two-hitter and gave up just one run. He struck out three and walked three in a pitchers' duel with Pecatonica junior A.J. Hendrickson.

Hendrickson pitched a complete game three-hit shutout to get the win. Hendrickson struck out six and walked one.

"We played as well as we could have," Argyle coach Jeff Solberg said. "Collin had a no-hitter going through five innings. Pec will be the No. 1 seed in our regional so even though we lost we know we are right where we want to be. You want to be playing your best baseball at this time of year and I think we are doing that. This will help with the confidence of our guys going forward as they know they can play with the best team in Division 4."

Argyle junior Cam Treuthardt had two hits

Pecatonica, ranked No. 1 in the WisSports.net Division 4 coaches' poll, improves to 22-1 overall and 15-0 Six Rivers East. Argyle drops to 10-10, 7-6.
