No. 1 Black Hawk rolls again; Cards, Redbirds net wins

MONTICELLO - Black Hawk sophomore Natalie Leuzinger scored a game-high 32 points and grabbed nine rebounds to power the Warriors to an 87-13 win over Monticello Thursday.

Black Hawk (5-0, 2-0 Six Rivers East), ranked No. 1 in the WisSports.net Division 5 Coaches Poll, jumped out to a 56-10 lead at the half.

Warriors sophomore Hannah Butler added 13 points and had seven rebounds, senior Brianna Hagen added 11 points and hit three 3-pointers and freshman Bailey Butler chipped in 10 points.



Brodhead 57, McFarland 53

BRODHEAD - Senior Erin Nyhus scored a game-high 24 points and the Cardinals shot 83 percent from the free throw line to escape with a Rock Valley Conference win over McFarland Thursday.

The Cardinals made 20 of 24 free throws. Nyhus made 7 of 8 free throws. Brodhead junior Alexis Oliver added 13 points and senior Brooke Bescup chipped in 12 points. Bescup made 10 of 12 free throws.

With the win, Brodhead improves to 3-4.



Darlington 71, Riverdale 54

RIVERDALE - Darlington junior Kaylee Meyers scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Redbirds to a big win over Riverdale Thursday.

Darlington (4-2, 2-0 SWAL) led by just four points at the half. The Redbirds outscored Riverdale 40-27 in the second half. Darlington junior Kathleen Mathias and junior Casey Glendenning each added 14 points.
