EVANSVILLE - The New Glarus baseball team opened its season Tuesday with a 17-4 non-conference loss to Evansville.
The Blue Devils erupted for nine runs in the first inning, then added five more runs in the second inning against starting pitcher Evan Hauge and relievers Kyle Larson and Tyler Molencamp.
Senior Aaron Nimtz went 3-for-3 with a home run for the Glarner Knights, who will host Orfordville Parkview Thursday.
