NEW GLARUS - Paige Bump went 3-for-4 with four RBIs to help lead New Glarus to a 13-12 slugfest win over Pecatonica in a non-conference game Tuesday.

"The hitting was much better," New Glarus assistant coach Drew Moen said. "We were working on it a lot before the game. It's always nice to get a win early in the season and score a lot of runs and help them believe that they can do it. Hopefully, it will just carry over."
New Glarus sophomore Maya Kramer went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and sophomore teammate Lydia Sprecher went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Kramer was the starting pitcher. She pitched 6 1/3 innings and gave up 12 runs, but only four earned runs on seven hits. She struck out five, walked eight and hit two batters.
