Despite playing without senior guard Alissa Siegenthaler, who was ill, and sophomore Alycia Atwell, who was injured in the first quarter, the Glarner Knights got a boost from senior Michelle Preston with 11 points, Cassie Feller with 10, and freshman Anya Schween with eight.
New Glarus (4-3 Capitol South, 6-10 overall) will host Wisconsin Heights Tuesday.
Albany 43, Argyle 41
ALBANY - The Comets trailed by four points with under a minute remaining, but junior Sydney Bump tied the game with a three-pointer and Albany pulled out a come-from-behind win over the Orioles in a Six Rivers East Conference game Thursday.
Junior Courtney Pfeuti scored 16 points while Bump added 11 and junior Hayli Peach contributed 10 for Albany (10-7, 5-3 Six Rivers East). The win brought an end to a three-game losing streak for the Comets.
"They grayed my hair," Albany head coach Mike Brunhoefer said.
Albany's next game is Saturday at Faith Christian in non-conference play.
Argyle (2-13, 0-8 Six Rivers East), which got 14 points from junior Melissa Ritschard and eight points from senior Jackie Dammen, dropped their eighth-straight game. The Orioles travel to Juda Tuesday.
Barneveld 60, Pecatonica 40
BLANCHARDVILLE - The Barneveld Eagles pressed the Pecatonica Vikings into 26 turnovers to come away with a 60-40 win Thursday in a Six Rivers East game.
"They got off to a fast start on us in the first quarter and their press gave us problems," Pecatonica head coach Tom Wilkins said.
Junior Alisha Esselstein paced the Vikings with 14 points while senior Kimee Chandler scored nine. Cassie Sullivan led Barneveld with 18 points.
Pecatonica (8-9, 4-5 Six Rivers East) will travel to South Wayne to face conference front-runner Black Hawk Tuesday.
