MONTICELLO - The Monticello boys basketball team cruised to a 58-20 win over Pecatonica Friday night.
Monticello (13-5, 8-1 Six Rivers East) used a 28-0 run from the first quarter that spanned into the second to take a 30-2 lead. The Ponies led 18-2 after the first and 38-8 at halftime. A 17-3 run in the third quarter by Monticello sealed the game.
The Ponies were paced by seniors Tyler Ritschard and Corey McGowan who each scored 13 points, and junior Lukas Kolasch, who had eight. Senior Tannar Johnson scored six points to lead the Vikings.

JUDA - Juda (11-7, 7-3 Six Rivers East) trailed 26-23 at halftime, but rebounded to outscore the Warriors 14-7 in the third quarter.
Juda made 7 of 12 free throws in the fourth quarter.
The Panthers had four players in double figures, led by sophomore Matt Trotter with a team-high 12 points. Brandon Bauman scored 11 points and Joey Jordan and Bryan Bauman each had 10.
Black Hawk sophomore Merik Meythaler scored a game-high 19 points and hit three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to keep the Warriors in striking distance. Teammate Michael Wolff added 12.
In other Six Rivers East action, Barneveld defeated Albany 63-40.
