MADISON - Monroe's No. 1 doubles tandem of Kelsey Erickson and Brooke McBain lost Friday in the WIAA Division 1 state girls tennis tournament at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
The pair was beat out in three sets to Maggie Bolton and Taylor Storbakken of Janesville Craig 0-6, 6-4, 7-6 (3).
"Kelsey and Brooke came off strong and played a solid first set, making very few errors and dominating their opponents," Monroe head coach Stephanie Miller said. "We struggled with lobs during the second and third set and just barely fell short."
