"I will definitely take that," Monroe coach Dale Buvid said. "She (Witt) definitely got all of it. She hit it well. We are happy with that performance. Lexi has been going pretty good lately."
Senior Natalie Dillon pitched three two-hit shutout innings to get the win. She struck out four and didn't issue a walk. Junior Carly Upmann pitched three no-hit innings in relief and gave up two unearned runs. She struck out three and didn't issue a walk.
Freshman teammate Olivia Bobak pitched one shutout inning in relief and struck out one.
"We were able to play everyone and get them a couple of at-bats," Buvid said.
Monroe will host third-ranked Waupun in a doubleheader at 5 p.m. today at Twining Park.
"They are the real deal," Buvid said. "We have to be on our A-game to be competitive and to have a chance."
