Monroe senior Lexi Hilliard was named to the six-member all-tournament team as a libero. Hilliard finished the invite with 35 digs.

"Monroe had a great day on the court," Monroe coach Heidi Witt said in an email. "Although we finished fourth these girls played with so much heart today. They were having fun and it was good to see everyone contribute on the court. They have improved so much and played competitive volleyball all day. Communication was constant and the girls battled hard even when behind on the scoreboard. It was a great team effort by everyone. To have Lexi Hilliard voted to the all-tournament team was a testament to her hard work on the court. She was everywhere making incredible passes and phenomenal digs. She so deserved that honor."

Monroe senior Alicia Kuester had 21 kills and 27 digs in the invite. Junior teammate Sydney Mathiason and sophomore Sydney Hilliard each had 13 kills. Monroe junior Alysha Witt racked up 43 assists and senior Hannah Neuenschwander had 30 assists. Neuenschwander had a team-high eight aces and senior Whitney Wells had seven aces. Senior teammate Chloe Schroeder had a team-best four blocks.

Witt said the effort in the invite is a confidence builder for sure as the team continues to grow and improve.
